In 2020, Rujul Zaparde and Lu Cheng co-founded Zip. Their goal was to transform the slow, messy process of procurement by bringing a consumer-grade user experience to B2B purchasing.

Having pioneered a new category with the launch of intake and orchestration, Zip has since grown into a powerful agentic procurement orchestration platform that unifies the process from intake to pay.

Zip’s passionate team of 650+ serves a diverse range of customers including AMD, Mars, Discover, Dollar Tree, T Mobile, OpenAI, and more.

In partnership with our Enterprise Transformation Office, an in-house advisory team made up of former procurement leaders from major enterprises, Zip customers redesign their operations to procure with the fastest process, least risk, and best value.

Zip’s investors include Adams Street, Alkeon, BOND, CRV, DST, Tiger Global, and Y Combinator. In October 2024, Zip announced a $190 million Series D funding round at a $2.2 billion valuation.
