We're proud to share that Zip has been named to Forbes' 'America's Best Startup Employers' list now for the fourth year running, and this time, with our biggest leap in the rankings yet.

After climbing from #415 in 2023 to #176 in 2024 to #90 in 2025, we've moved up significantly once again in 2026, now landing at #41. This trajectory is the result of a team that genuinely believes in what we’re building and a culture that rewards ownership, collaboration, and an underdog mentality.

Why Forbes named Zip one of America's best startup employers

Forbes partners with market research firm Statista to evaluate thousands of privately held U.S. companies across three dimensions: company reputation (analyzed through articles, blogs, and social media), employee satisfaction (measured through online reviews, benefits, and diversity initiatives), and company growth (assessed by headcount, hiring activity, and web traffic).

In other words, it’s a composite of a company’s value measured against what employees actually experience and what the market sees.

What it's like to work at Zip

Behind every AI agent shipped, every customer deployment, and every procurement process transformed is a growing team of people who take their work seriously and take care of each other.

Today, Zip has more than 700 employees across offices in San Francisco, New York, Toronto, and London, with more than 100 open roles.

“Growth only matters when paired with a culture with showing up for. At Zip, we’re proud to hire people who embrace the underdog mindset, who move with urgency, and who genuinely care about the customers on the other end of the platform. Zip is a place to do your best work, supported by a team who are always there to help you in achieving it.” - Shaye Martin, VP of People

Why top talent is joining Zip in 2026

This recognition arrives in the middle of what's been a defining stretch for Zip. Over the past year, Zip has:

  • Surpassed $6 billion in total customer savings, processing hundreds of billions in spend across more than 7 million suppliers
  • Been named a Visionary in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Source-to-Pay Suites, the youngest company ever to appear and the only AI procurement orchestration platform on the list
  • Made the Forbes Fintech 50 for the second consecutive year
  • Earned a spot on G2's 2026 Top 100 Fastest Growing Products, based entirely on real customer reviews
  • Launched more than 50 AI agents purpose-built for procurement, finance, legal, IT, and security
  • Built the Enterprise Transformation Office, a team of former Fortune 500 CPOs who work directly with customers on large-scale procurement change

These milestones are only possible because of the team behind them. Recognition like this in Forbes validates what we already know: when you invest in people, the results follow.
